Take your life into your own hands
Confrontation with a serious illness is reason for many people to take an in-depth look at their previous lives. Your life situation has changed and your everyday habits may now appear in a different light. You have different priorities, set yourself different aims, have different wishes and re-assess your previous behaviour. Perhaps you – as many women – have thought more about other people than yourself in the past and are now only slowly learning to listen to your inner voice, to find the answer to the question "What do I really want?“. Take the time to reorganise your thoughts and maybe different areas of your life. Don't leave your dreams unrealised, make them come true. Apart from your family and friends, relaxation and gymnastic exercises can help you to find the right path to take in the future. Physical exercise also has a very positive effect on your well-being. We have put together some exercises for you to help you on your way. Start off slowly and only exercise for short periods at a time. After a while you can repeat the exercises 5-10 times. A mirror is helpful to check your position. Never overstep your pain threshold! Relax and breathe slowly!

1 Lift both shoulders and lower them slowly. This can also be done alternately: First lift the right shoulder, then the left shoulder.
2 Make circular movements with your shoulders. Move your shoulders more backwards than forwards.
3 Face the wall. With your arms and hands "crawl" up the wall until your arms are fully stretched.
4 Join hands behind your back. Move your shoulders back at the same time. Release and repeat.
Breathe regularly and deeply.
5 Lift your right arm above your head, place your left arm behind your back at the same time. Alternate your arm positions.
6 Hold a towel above your head with both hands and both arms stretched out. Lower your arms slowly.
