Prescription advice

The bra must be described as a "prosthesis bra" on your medical prescription, otherwise it will not qualify for a subsidy from your medical insurer (applies to Germany and Austria). Anita care special bras are prosthesis bras with integrated pockets (except bustier 5310). All Anita care breast prostheses and compensation aids have a therapeutic appliance number (in Germany only) and can be claimed back on any statutory medical insurance.

Useful information

Your medical insurer in Germany and Austria will assume:

• The full cost of a silicone prosthesis or compensating breast form (every 2 years in Germany)
• Part of the cost of a special bra twice a year
• A complete new prosthesis in case of a weight change. The weight change must be confirmed by your doctor.
• For Germany: for assistance with the cost of a swimsuit, please contact your medical insurer.

In Switzerland:

• For women in Switzerland, the funding of breast prostheses is a statutory obligation of the disability or medical insurance company. Which of these applies depends on the age of the patient at the time of surgery.

The above amounts include the cost of special bras, prosthesis accessories and garment alterations.
