Mystique Lingerie

Anita UK was delighted to sponsor one of its top retailers Mystique Lingerie from Wiltshire as they bravely scaled the Great Wall of China to raise money and much needed awareness for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance service. Eleven members of the lingerie retailers team made the climb and raised almost £14K for their cause in the process. Nikki from Mystique expressed her thanks for the sports bras which Anita had provided for all the team:

“Now that we are all safely back in the UK, the girls wanted to thank you for our fantastic sports bras which were gladly worn by all, and I attach a few photos to prove that we all made it safely to the Wall!  Not only did we have the adventure of a lifetime,  but we raised nearly £14K (and rising) for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.  Without exception, the girls said that your bra was the best sports  bra they had ever tried. I attach a couple of photos taken at the end of the trip on the last section of The Wall; it was an amazing trek and with your support we did it in comfort and style!!A great big 'Thank you' from all of us to you and the team at Anita!!”

Jemma Barnes commented “At Anita we love stories of women showing their strength and power and using it for good causes. We were delighted to support these ladies on their journey and keep them as comfortable possible as they strove to achieve their goal of walking the great wall and of course raising so much money for a great cause. It's also a great way to put our products to the test!! Happily reports back from the ladies confirm our bras performed just as brilliantly as the ladies who walked the walk!!”

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance service is a registered charity established in March 1990 as a joint venture between the Wiltshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust and the Wiltshire Constabulary. They are raising money to build a new airbase for their helicopter, aircrew and charity team. The charity received full planning permission in January 2017 for the new airbase on land at Outmarsh Farm, Semington, near Wiltshire. The site is ideally situated in central Wiltshire, allowing the helicopter to reach all parts of the county within 11 minutes, just as they are able to do now. You can find out more about how to get involved on their website here

Kenresa Stratford, Fundraising & Events Coordinator at Wiltshire Air Ambulance, also took part in the trek, which took place from 21 to 30 September 2017. She said:

“This is the most ambitious overseas challenge that Wiltshire Air Ambulance has been involved with and we’re truly thrilled to offer our trekkers an adventure of a lifetime experiencing the Great Wall of China. For most of us, including myself, this will be our first time to China and we’re all really excited to get out there and start the trek. The team’s enthusiasm for the trek is infectious and they’ve been doing brilliantly with their fundraising. All the sponsorship they raise will help keep our helicopter and crew flying and saving lives.”
