Structure:

• Experimental, randomised, analytical, multicentric longitudinal study

Participants:
• Patients with unilateral conservative-surgical breast cancer treatment (99 patients per group)

Objectives:
•Main objective: Evaluation of the impact of using a compression breast bandage on the appearance of complications in operated patients

• Secondary objective: Evaluation of the impact of using a compression breast bandage on the quality of life, post-surgical pain levels of patients, the comfort level, aesthetic satisfaction, effectiveness (user-friendliness) and patient care management

 

Benefits of using a bandage

Appropriate stabilisation and immobilisation of the breast, healing process is promoted, gentle compression of the scar area, no constriction and no skin irritation thanks to the hypoallergenic fabric and its individual adjustability and easy handling.

 

Study findings

The use of Anita bandages for controlled compression in post-operative care following conservative breast cancer surgery will reduce post-surgical complications from 32 to 15% and surpasses the traditional compression binding in terms of efficacy, safety and comfort.
